American's in Uganda

Over the course of this past week I’ve heard many stories of American’s working in Uganda in mission-oriented roles. Unfortunately these stories describe people who come to Uganda to take advantage of the corruption or of the girls in their schools. I trust the people telling these stories and am sickened that American people would behave in such a way, particularly as guests in another country. They explain themselves by saying "it's their culture." Shall we change God to fit the culture or shall we change the culture to fit God? Of course not all American’s that come here behave this way but that any do is appalling.
