Kapchowra resides at the top of Mt. Elgon and from here many trails leading to the falls can be found. The people here speak their own language (i.e., not Lugunda), but their way of life is strikingly similar to other parts of Uganda. No shortage of some foods in this area as bikes can be seen toting unbelievably huge loads of maize, coffee, and sweet potatoes down the curvy mountainside roads.
No matter where you turn in Kapchowra, the view is stunning and the people are beautiful.
